Head of Operations

Our client is a Food Manufacturing company based in Penang.

This is a senior management position having several functions reporting directly to the incumbent. The Head of Operations will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities:

• Total accountability for the Management and Profitability of the entire Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities.
• Drive continuous improvement projects with the objective of improving overall manufacturing efficiency, productivity and output
• Define, develop and implement long and medium term strategic operational plans.
• Lead, direct and manage all manufacturing operations to achieve high quality, on-time delivery, high productivity and budget targets.
• Work closely with other functional heads to meet overall company goals and objectives. 
• Interface with customers to build good relations for technical exchanges and customer satisfaction.
• Encourage process improvement using the proper format, thus ensuring process and product safety, product quality, lowering costs while increasing throughput.
  

Requirements:

•  Must have more than 10 years hands-on experience as a Plant or Factory manager in a high volume FMCG manufacturing environment
• Experience in food manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
• Possess a degree in engineering/manufacturing technology or related discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP, Kaizen would be an added advantage.
• Able to coach and mentor subordinates effectively.
• Must be a highly motivated and results-oriented person.
